Managed PoE Switches
PoE with per-port control, scheduling and monitoring — for camera and access-point estates that are managed centrally.
For networks built around IP surveillance, wireless access points or VoIP telephony, a managed poe switch lets administrators control and monitor power port by port. This page explains what management adds to PoE and what to check before buying. It also shows the 48-port PoE models currently listed on this site; their management feature set is not part of the listing, so confirm it per model before ordering.
What Managed PoE Adds
A PoE switch carries data between devices and delivers electrical power over the same Ethernet cable, so cameras, access points and phones can be installed with a single cable run. The "managed" part is what separates some PoE switches from plug-and-play units: management can give per-port control, so individual ports can be enabled, disabled, prioritised or power-cycled remotely — useful when a camera on a rooftop or an access point in a ceiling void needs a restart. Port-level visibility can also help troubleshooting as a network grows.
This page is written for system integrators delivering CCTV or Wi-Fi projects, distributors and IT teams refreshing campus or branch infrastructure.

Selection Checklist for Managed PoE
- Match ports to endpoints: count cameras, access points and phones per closet, and allow headroom. Read our guide on how to calculate a PoE budget so device power draw is planned correctly.
- List the management features you need: per-port power control, PoE scheduling, VLANs, SNMP monitoring — then confirm each one against the data sheet of the exact model.
- Check the PoE standard: 802.3af, 802.3at (PoE+) or 802.3bt, per port and in total.
